Not a book (but I think they’ll make it into a limited edition, illustrated ebook eventually), but then again, I read almost anything Neil Gaiman puts out, and I do so love his short stories (part of the reason I don’t finish books often; my pitiful attention span), so go download and read 12 stories that he’s written, inspired by prompts gleaned from Twitter.

[ Finished ] And now, a Kindle

My cousin said do what you love, and the rest will come to you. So I’ll go ahead and slough on with my intermittent reading and writing.

But at least now I have a Kindle, and my to-read list has dramatically shot up. I think my print books are looking at me with equal parts of despair and betrayal. But no, I don’t think I’ll stop buying print books anytime soon.

Finished reading American Gods (another re-read). Now on Lev Grossman’s the Magicians. If this blog will turn out as just a “list-of-books-Karen-has-really-read-again” for now I’ll have to be content with that until it evolves to something else.

Here’s to hoping.

[ finished ] … just a bit.

It’s been ages, huh.

But I’m still reading. To date, I’ve finished Good Omens (after quite a number of years of it on my bookshelf), The Graveyard Book (a re-read), and Snow White, Blood Red  (fairy tale re-tellings anthology). A former batchmate at work (did I mention I’m working at a call center now?) lent me the Identity Crisis TPB (DC), which was an awesome read, and I’m still in the middle of reading Carljoe Javier’s And The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth.

Since I’m on a roll I’ll be re-starting Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s The Shadow of the Wind, and re-reading Angela Carter’s The Bloody Chamber (yes, there is sort of a theme).
